About the Bridge
The MySmartBlinds Bridge is a device that communicates and sends commands to your blinds that have the MySmartBlinds automation installed. The bridge has two main functions, it eliminates the need to be within bluetooth range to control your blinds, and it will allow third party devices and applications to integrate with your blinds (i.e. Amazon Alexa, Google assistant).
The bridge uses two different communication protocols to operate, Wifi and Bluetooth. It uses wifi to connect to a cloud and receive commands, it then relays those commands to your blinds through bluetooth.
Setting up the Bridge
Before you set up your bridge be sure that you have the latest version of the MySmartBlinds app installed on your device.
Determining where to place your bridge
Your bridge should be placed near a power outlet in a central location in your home. Set it up in a place where it will be able to reach all of the blinds that you would like it to control.
Adding the bridge to your app (Provisioning)
To add the bridge to your app tap menu>bridge>add bridge>setup
Once the bridge connects to your device select the wifi network that you want it to connect to, tap next, then put in the password for the wifi network that you selected. You will then be prompted to name the bridge. The set up is now complete.
Using the Bridge to control your blinds
Once you have finished provisioning your bridge you will be able to control the movements of your blinds through the app with out bluetooth as long as your mobile device is connected to wifi or has access to mobile data.
At this time setting schedules through the bridge is not supported.
